Conversion is the process by which God adopts us into His family. It begins when the Holy Spirit leads us to repentance, then we believe in Jesus Christ and are baptized. Lastly, He sends His Holy Spirit to live in us.1, 2, 3
We have to believe in Christ’s sacrifice because He, alone, paid the full penalty for sin. Then we’re baptized to symbolize our death to our old way of life. Finally, receiving the Holy Spirit is when we’re “born again” as a new person and new creation — now we’re God’s children.4, 5, 6, 7, 8

God is creating a family full of sons and daughters and wants you to be a part of it. And just as He is perfect, He wants us to become perfect, too. The path to perfection leads through Jesus Christ whose sacrifice cleanses us from all sin.9, 10, 11, 12, 13
